Community Involvement
From investing in the futures of young lawyers to contributing to the creation and construction of first-class medical facilities, Christopher Meagher leads the law firm of Meagher & Meagher in giving back to the communities we serve. He is an invited participant, commentator and/or judge in many moot court competitions, ranging from the high-school level through the local bar association events. Chris has also been an invited guest speaker for the Continuing Legal Education program for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
Contributing To Children In Need
Attorney Chris Meagher’s work with children injured in birth-related events has driven him to contribute to various organizations such as Healing the Children, the Andrus Home in Yonkers and the Westchester Institute for Human Development. In 2014 and 2015, with the help of a former client, Meagher & Meagher donated money to the Upper Room Ministry to provide presents for the children of prisoners and other children whose parents who could not spend Christmas with them.
Support For Good Governance, The Arts And Education
Through the years, Chris has worked on zoning and ethics boards, devoted his weekends to developing sports programs to benefit the children in his communities, and contributed to the music and cultural programs in different communities. From the local Girl Scouts chapter to the Community Concert series and the Sherman Chamber Ensemble, the firm of Meagher & Meagher has lent extensive support to improve our community.
Chris Meagher’s relationship with Fordham Law School has always been very important to him. He believes his success has always been a reflection of his education, his values, and his work ethic. Fordham Law allowed him to nurture all of these elements and built the foundation for his practice. He has always believed in giving back to this special community through contributions to scholarships and hiring young lawyers trained to his rigorous standards.
